Caroline the Ballerina

Please excuse the box of Cinnamon Toast Crunch and the Trashcan sitting on top of my island... this was just after snack time and little hands love to pry! I have a ONE year old.. my house is never perfectly clean! ha! Focus on the cute little one in the pink tutu!;-)

Jail Bird!

We went to visit Aunt K a few nights ago and Caroline found a new hiding place.... Which is fine... as long as Elmo goes with her!;-)

Ready for School

Caroline will be starting to MDO at a local church in the near future. She is excited about it- and I am too! It is near Chris' office so he will be dropping off and I will be picking up around lunch time. We are completely satisfied with the School that we have chosen and have already spoken with Caroline's teacher to get the scoop on the upcoming year.
We talk about what she will be doing at school often to prepare her for the change in environment. I've mentioned some of the things that she will be taking with her to school with her, as well. A few mornings ago, I asked Caroline if she was "ready to go to school" and this is what she put on: Her play backpack, rain boots, and a mismatched bow! haha! I think the bedhead just really works with the entire ensemble... ha! I love my little girl!
I know it's blurry... my camera stinks if there is any movement involved and she was walking towards me! Have a good day!!! =)

Getting the Royal Treatment

When I have errands to run that I cannot take Caroline to(Dr's Appts, meetings, etc) Chris will occasionally keep her for me. This can be very difficult since TJC is not the most kid friendly environment. So, Chris set up a home away from home with her very own flat screen and DVD player. Of course we had to use an Elmo video to break it in;-)
An Artist in the making...

Chris' office is in the front of the building and the entire front side is glass. In the heat of the summer it can get quite hot! The fan helps some. Caroline thinks it is hilarious when the makes the fan blow up her shirt... We will just have to make sure she doesn't wear dresses for visits;-)

Night Swimming

Chris will occasionally take Caroline swimming with him if we are grilling for dinner... I love it! It is so much fun to watch them play from my breakfast room/area while I try to get dinner on the table. They have a blast together. On this particular night their "night swim" was spontaneous and Chris just stripped her down instead of bringing her up to me to put on a swimsuit. P.erv's look away!! These pictures are such poor quality since it was practically dark outside, but I know the Grandparents will appreciate it. And I want to look back in 20 years and remember how wonderful these days were:-)

And I LOVE that my sweet little girl went to get her puddle jumpers(life vest of sorts), even though her father was letting her swim without it... Yay Caroline!!!

A few pictures from McWane Center

Caroline loves to play with older kids... a 6/7 year old little boy was so sweet to play with Caroline in the space shuttle. She laughed and laughed at him. She loved the silly game he played!

Her playmate would scream, "BLAST OFF" and then tell her it was time to "sit back and relax... we are in orbit!!!" Then they would scoot back in their chairs and be still.

Then they would "GO, GO, GO!!! Drive FAST!..." She would spin the wheel around and yell "GOOOOO!!!" It was too cute!

Working in an archaeological dig...

She was so funny... she had to wear the goggles like the other big kids... of course, I was thinking about the germs! ha! Wipes could not get them clean enough for me!!! ;-)
