Playing with Momma Dot and Papa Jack

My Grandparents LOVE their Caroline! They are so sweet to always encourage us to come visit as often as possible when we are in town. Here are some pictures from one of our visits...

Let's Play Catch up, Shall we??

Our internet has been down for the past two weeks, off and on. Mostly off during the day and finally Cha.rter figured out what was wrong! We weren't getting enough signal from the street to run all of our computers, TV's, DVR's, playstation, etc... SOOO glad to have it back!!! Surprisingly a guy I went to high school with in Florence was actually the cable guy that showed up at my door and set everything to rights!

Miss Priss is napping and I'm hoping for a long one!

Poor Baby!!!

I know that I just posted another sleeping picture of my daughter, but this one was too cute to ignore! The day after my surgery Chris took Caroline outside and swam with her all afternoon... 4 hours to be exact, which is a major feat with a toddler that has an incredibly short attention span. He let me have some quiet time to sleep... and I. so. did! But their pool date went well over into her nap time and once she sat for a moment, having snack, she was out... Sound asleep!!! Poor thing! That is dried mango hanging out of her mouth! ;-)

I have got some catching up to do!!!

So sorry that I've been silent for the past week or so. I slept a pretty good bit for the first few days after I had the ole wisdom teeth removed and then I went to Florence so that my family could help me with Caroline while I took it easy. Unfortunately, my parents live in the sticks(which they love:-)) and they are still living in the stone age of dial up, since that is all that is available- we have checked EVERY imaginable option. Then I rushed back to Birmingham to get ready for my Husband's Birthday and his Birthday Party, which we actually had on July 3rd. Shopping and mass entertaining... yay, but sheesh! It was exhausting, especially since I was still recovering. Needless to say, I haven't stopped! It was more exhausting for the sweet 20 month old that was just along for the ride! Poor baby... I'll leave you with a picture of one of Caroline's firsts.... The first time she fell asleep in her stroller(while I shopped... Guilty as charged;-)) More pictures coming soon... =)

Happy Birthday to Me!

Today, June 25, is my 26th Birthday. I'm awake at 3 a.m. because bright and early in the morning I am having my wisdom teeth removed. All 4. Yaaayyy...*insert sarcasm* I should have done it years ago, of course. Since there never seems to be a convenient time(have I mentioned that I like to stay busy??), now is as good as any!
It is amazing how things change when you are a mother. I spent my night, after Caroline went to sleep-ha!, doing dishes, laundry, creating a grocery list that my darling mother is taking care of tomorrow while I sleep it off, activity lists to keep Caroline well occupied while I am indisposed, etc.
I have to admit that I am totally unafraid of the pain. I'm a trooper and I will totally be taking the lovely meds that I'm sent home with... at least for the first few days. I'm more concerned about not being able to take care of my chickens and being forced to depend on others to handle my responsibilities. See, I am a major league mommy... I got called up about 19 months ago and haven't looked back since;-) I am so glad to have my Mom here for the next few days to help pick up the slack!
Now, I'm going to TRY to sleep... And since I'm not celebrating my Birthday this year, feel free to celebrate for me;-) Happy June 25th!!!

Grandmother's Birthday

We celebrated my Grandmother's Birthday on Tuesday, so Caroline and I made a trip to Florence to get in some family time! We took the Grand P's, Mom, and Blake out to dinner at Texas Roa.dhouse, Grandmother's restaurant of choice.

Eating Lemons... she is so my daughter!
Watching the dancing girls...
Clapping along:-)

I have more pictures from our visit that hopefully I can post soon!
